The summer of 2021,

We launched DrHelps.com, a Global Health Tourism Company. The company has created a directory of medical facilities that have met the strict requirements of the Joint Commission International accreditation body. These Healthcare Facilities have helped care for international patients with compassion.

COVID-19 has created difficulty as countries went into lock-down and healthcare facilities become overwhelmed with patients suffering from COVID-19 symptoms. However, work from home trend has created opportunities for patients to vacation and receive elective procedures without missing work. Dr.Helps facilitated dental care for a software engineer requiring dental care in Costa Rica. He appreciated the opportunity to travel, receive care, and vacation while still working for over 3 weeks. 

Clients demand for medical tourism has changed with our lives becoming more digitalized. Bloomberg reported change in elective cosmetic surgery which dropped by 14% to 2.3 million procedures. The area of demand has become facial augmentation due to video meeting through Zoom, Teams, and Slack. Common procedures include laser skin resurfacing, soft tissue filler, and chemical Peel which are all non-invasive.

For the coming year, Dr.Helps will create a system to streamline visa, accommodations, and after-care for our patients. Additional facilities will be added to provide choice and flexibility to providers and patients. We will deepen our relationship with our partners in Minneapolis, Denver, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Istanbul, and Mumbai to support a healthy global healthcare community.
